Water Treatment Systems
Ultraviolet (UV) Disinfection
Inactivation of microorganisms without chemicals.

UV light at 254 nm inactivates microorganisms in water without harmful by-products, odour or taste, and without changing the natural properties of the water. A correctly sized UV unit installed at the right point provides safe disinfection. UV lamps have an effective life of about 9,000 hours (around one year); regular maintenance and timely lamp replacement are required.
