Clarifier Sludge Scraper
Bridge scrapers for circular and rectangular settling tanks.
Sludge scrapers are used in settling tanks that separate chemically flocculated solids or biological biomass from water by gravity. In centre-fed circular tanks the water flows radially and leaves over the peripheral weir; settled sludge is pushed by blades on the bridge to the central hopper. The inlet structure and bridge speed are verified by hydraulic calculations.
